Code of Conduct

Our Mission: Necrux Guild is committed to fostering a competitive yet respectful esports community. We expect all members, applicants, and community participants to uphold the highest standards of conduct, both in-game and in our community spaces.

1. Core Values

As members of Necrux Guild, we embody:

  • Excellence: We strive for peak performance and continuous improvement
  • Respect: We treat teammates, opponents, and community members with dignity
  • Integrity: We compete fairly and honor the spirit of the game
  • Unity: We support each other and work as a cohesive team
  • Accountability: We take responsibility for our actions and decisions

2. Expected Behavior

In Competitive Play

  • Fair Play: Compete honestly without cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized third-party software
  • Sportsmanship: Win with humility and lose with grace. Respect opponents before, during, and after matches
  • Communication: Maintain constructive in-game communication focused on strategy and teamwork
  • Commitment: Honor scheduled practices, scrims, and tournament commitments. Communicate absences in advance
  • Professionalism: Represent Necrux Guild professionally in all competitive settings

In Community Spaces

  • Respect: Treat all community members with kindness and consideration
  • Inclusivity: Welcome players of all backgrounds, skill levels, and identities
  • Constructive Feedback: Offer criticism in a helpful, constructive manner
  • Positive Atmosphere: Contribute to a supportive and encouraging environment
  • Privacy: Respect others' personal information and boundaries

On Social Media and Public Platforms

  • Represent the guild positively and professionally
  • Avoid public disputes or drama involving guild matters
  • Do not share confidential guild strategies or internal communications
  • Give proper credit when sharing guild-related content

3. Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the guild:

Zero Tolerance Offenses

  • Cheating: Use of hacks, bots, exploits, or unauthorized software
  • Match Fixing: Deliberately losing or manipulating match outcomes
  • Account Sharing: Playing on another person's account in competitive settings (unless explicitly allowed by game rules)
  • Harassment: Bullying, stalking, doxxing, or persistent unwanted contact
  • Hate Speech: Discriminatory language or behavior based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Threats: Threats of violence or harm against any person

Serious Offenses

  • Toxicity: Excessive flaming, verbal abuse, or hostile behavior toward teammates or opponents
  • Trolling: Intentionally disrupting games, practices, or community discussions
  • Griefing: Deliberately sabotaging team efforts or intentionally feeding in games
  • Disrespect: Persistent disregard for teammates, leadership, or guild decisions
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another guild member or guild representative
  • Spam: Excessive or disruptive messaging in guild channels
  • NSFW Content: Sharing inappropriate sexual, violent, or disturbing content

Other Violations

  • Repeatedly missing scheduled practices or matches without notice
  • Refusing to communicate or cooperate with teammates
  • Engaging in poaching (recruiting members from other guilds unethically)
  • Sharing confidential guild information without authorization
  • Violating game terms of service or tournament rules

4. Discord Server Rules

Our Discord server (discord.gg/XNR3be2t) is the primary hub for guild communication. All members must:

  • Use appropriate usernames (no offensive names)
  • Post content in designated channels
  • Respect channel topics and purposes
  • Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
  • Report rule violations to moderators or leadership

5. Competitive Integrity

Tournament Conduct

  • Always compete to win; never intentionally underperform
  • Follow all tournament rules and organizer instructions
  • Report technical issues or rule violations to tournament officials
  • Accept referee decisions gracefully, escalate concerns through proper channels
  • Do not engage in pre-game or post-game trash talk that violates tournament rules

Practice and Scrims

  • Treat practice seriously and give full effort
  • Be punctual and prepared for scheduled sessions
  • Maintain focus and minimize distractions
  • Accept coaching feedback with an open mind
  • Help newer members improve their skills

6. Conflict Resolution

Addressing Issues

If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct:

  1. Direct Communication: If comfortable, address minor issues directly with the person involved
  2. Report to Leadership: Report serious violations to guild officers or leadership
  3. Document Evidence: Provide screenshots, logs, or other evidence when reporting violations
  4. Confidentiality: Reports will be handled with appropriate discretion

Investigation Process

  • All reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly
  • Accused parties will have an opportunity to respond
  • Decisions will be made based on available evidence
  • False reports made in bad faith may result in disciplinary action

7. Consequences

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

Warning

  • Verbal or written warning from leadership
  • Mandatory meeting to discuss behavior
  • Monitoring of future conduct

Suspension

  • Temporary removal from competitive roster
  • Restricted Discord access
  • Loss of certain privileges
  • Duration based on severity of offense

Removal

  • Permanent removal from guild roster
  • Ban from Discord server
  • Public statement if behavior impacts guild reputation
  • Report to game or tournament authorities if applicable

Leadership reserves the right to determine appropriate consequences based on the nature and severity of violations.

8. Appeals

If you believe a disciplinary decision was made in error:

  • Submit a written appeal to guild leadership within 7 days
  • Provide any additional evidence or context
  • Appeals will be reviewed by leadership not involved in the original decision
  • The appeals decision is final

9. Leadership Accountability

Guild officers and leadership are held to the highest standards and must:

  • Model exemplary behavior at all times
  • Enforce rules consistently and fairly
  • Make decisions in the best interest of the guild
  • Be available and responsive to member concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality when appropriate

Leadership members who violate this Code of Conduct may face more severe consequences.

10. Amendments

This Code of Conduct may be updated periodically to reflect evolving community standards and best practices. Members will be notified of significant changes. Continued participation in Necrux Guild constitutes acceptance of the current Code of Conduct.
